Moto Adventures: Morocco Aug 18, 2014
“My brain is chapped, my eyeballs need Supergluing in place and every screw in my head has vibrated loose.
I’m on a motorcycle tour of Morocco with the company Moto Aventures. I flew into Marrakesh, drove over the High Atlas Mountains to Ourzazate, joined a group of Portuguese riders and set off on three days of punishing off-road riding on a 450cc KTM enduro bike.”

Standing at the crossroads between glamorous parisian hype and musical integrity, Ivan has the ability to play music like a raw conduit between his famously obscure records and the dancefloor’s strobe-soaked bodies, injecting something of himself seamlessly into the mix along the way.
“I like music. I like jeans. I like good music and I like good jeans, both need to be worn to fit. It has nothing to do with technique, actually you need to see the seams. I hope it will fit someone else more than just me, but hey, I’m wearing the trousers.”
Commute Aug 4, 2014
And you thought your rush-hour was a pain in the arse…
mixED 2 welcomes the truly fantastic Dessagne Twins from Saint-Etienne…
“A four-season road trip, between class and bling. Cold breezes, indian summer and hot boulevards. Enough to give your ears a sun tan. All patchwork’ed with Love from The Twins. Enjoy (or get a fake tan).”
The multi-talented instrumentalist and singer Julienne Dessagne is the mastermind behind The Twins: drawing on her broad connoisseurship of dance music’s sonic fringes, she likes to conjure up massive synth drones and swooping vocal textures, all aligned by a particularly strong sense of melody and ambience. This results in a highly immersive amalgam of different electronic eras, as inciting as it is intoxicating.

The first release for Edwin Europe introduces the luminous, poetic and radical, C.A.R., the new project of Chloé Raunet, singer of former London coldwave band Battant. She now writes, composes and produces on her own.
“Dark like denim, unwashed & starched. Like summer in London – a bit cool and collected.”

Worn for two years by Nick from Steam Yard in Sheffield, these coffee stained ED-55s have helped serve coffee in -7 degrees, build a café, made thousands of espresso and stood on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
In that time they have been given one wash, while wearing them in the bath.

A Closer Look: ED-75 May 7, 2014
For Spring / Summer 2014, Edwin Europe have added the all-new ED-75 to the collection, the perfect bridge between the ED-55 and ED-80.
A relaxed tapered fit with a high-rise for comfort, designed to be worn high on the hips.
The subtle differences of the ED-75 include black rivets, black fly buttons, a black leather patch and a fine, single stitch arcuate.
The selvage option comes complete with black stitching and exposed listing on the back and coin pockets, whereas the premium denim option features tonal stitching throughout.
“Frank Chatokhine enjoyed the friendly DTRA circus mood and did really well with his his Rickman Metisse Flattracker. First place in all Vintage Class races and victory for the final at Leicester Speedway last week end.”
Martelli Lavorazioni Tessili launder and finish denim like no other. For Spring / Summer 2014, Edwin Europe continue to collaborate with the creative team from the world famous laundry to apply some very unique hand-finished wash techniques to our denim.
The G-Wash program takes the principle of natural looking wash processes and stays true to the look and feel of naturally worn in denim. Martelli recreate by hand the specific, subtle nuances and character of that favourite worn in five-pocket jean.
The G Wash programme replicates the natural wear process of a pair of jeans heavily worn for approximately 2 years. G5 is the first stage and features knee shaping and 3D hand scraping.
G6 is the second stage featuring knee shaping, 3D hand scraping and a dirt effect.
G7 is the third stage and features knee shaping, 3D hand scraping and a dirt effect.
G8 is the fourth and final stage in this process with knee shaping, 3D hand scraping, abrasions, reproduction of “hand stitched repairs” and a dirt effect.
Looking Down Apr 29, 2014
“Unless you spend most of your time in an airplane, your everyday perspective is limited to the surface of the earth, and specifically to your line of sight. From down here it’s impossible to fully appreciate the beauty and intricacy of the things we’ve constructed, the sheer complexity of the systems we’ve developed, or the devastating impact that we’ve had on our planet.”
“NahRight & UpNorthTrips reached out to the new generation of New York MCs and asked them to pay homage to Nas and his magnum opus over the same timeless tracks that underscored his historic bars back in 1994…”
DEUTSCHE BÖRSE PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE 2014 Apr 25, 2014
Including the work of Jochen Lempert, Lorna Simpson, Richard Mosse and Alberto García-Alix.
Spring / Summer 2014 sees the third collection made by Edwin Europe for Parisian based garage: Blitz Motorcycles, born from a shared passion for road trips, great friendships and beautiful simplistic design.
The collaboration retains at its heart the main core principles that prompted the first two: creating non-seasonal, non-trend led functional garments that fit in with Blitz Motorcycles way of life…
This concise seven piece capsule collection, entirely made of jersey is made up of six t-shirts and a single crew sweat, using a palette of washed black and off white. The use of monochromatic tones and fabrics lends itself to the durable and stripped back aesthetics demonstrated by the Parisian Duo.
Richard Mosse’s work is incredible and if you’re in London over the next couple of days, he’s showing his 6 screen, infra-red, 16mm film installation ‘The Enclave‘ at the NCP car park, Brewer St, Soho until the 26th April.

Edwin Europe presents the fourth instalment of the ongoing EDMIX series with an uplifting and sometimes surprising mix by Sacha Mambo: the founder of the Macadam Mambo label, producer and resident DJ at Le Sucre in Lyon.
“Knowing music doesn’t mean specialising in one particular style, far from it!!”
